| Descrição do imóvel | Vieux Château Certan: The vineyard of Vieux Château Certan is certainly one of the oldest of Pomerol. It was probably founded during the sixteenth century. There are also traces of this vineyard during the eighteenth century, under the name of Sertan. He was for many years, considered as the best Pomerol’s wines. Then, after the Second World War, appeared the current stars of the appellation, such as Petrus…. The family Thienpont, actual owner of the field, bought the Vieux Chateau Certan during the XXth century. Thanks to its excellent location, it enjoys one of the best Pomerols’ lands. Composed of 60% merlot, of 30% cabernet franc and of 10% cabernet sauvignon, its wines have a complexity and a unique character within the appellation, which give them a special dimension. The 14 hectares of the area also produce a second wine, La Gravette de Certan. |
