| Descrição do imóvel | Alertness, freshness and finesse... The avant-garde vision of a woman, Jeanne-Alexandrine Louise Pommery, is behind the reputation of this Champagne’s house. In 1856, her husband joined Mr Narcisse Greno, founder of the Champagne Greno, founded in 1836. After the death of Mr Pommery in 1858, his wife decided to create the house Pommery. Therefore, she undertook the construction of the headquarters, near Reims, in an Elizabethan castle. Galleries were dug in the underground. They are now 18 kilometres of caves, where sleep nearly 20 million bottles at an ideal temperature. In 1874, Madame Pommery created the first brut champagne, which got a real commercial success: The Pommery Brut Nature. She, then, developed a real brand image for her champagnes, and also understood the importance of trade policy and marketing, in terms of luxury products. To pay homage to this exceptional woman, the “Cuvée Louise”, the prestigious cuvée of the brand, was launched in the late 1970s. The house, however, was resumed in 1907 by the family Polignac. Since 2002, the house Monopole Vranken has been the owner of Pommery’s champagnes. Vranken has kept the image of the house, whose objective is to combine tradition and modernity, developing new products in perfect harmony with this spirit. The Springtime (a Brut Rosé) and Falltime (an Extra Dry) were added to the range of Summertime (a Blanc de Blancs) and Wintertime (a Blanc de Noirs). |
