Succession J.S. is an exclusive limited edition blend, created to mark the bi-centenary of Napoleon’s crowning as the Emperor of France on 2 December 1804. Shrouded in secrecy for generations, the family of one of our best suppliers in the Grande Champagne region kept their best reserve hidden in their chateau’s cellar for many years. The great-great granddaughter wished to honour her family’s hard work and their proud French history by passing on her precious cognacs to help create this masterpiece. Succession JS is presented in a beautifully handcrafted, wooden miniature replica of Napoleon’s Chest of Secrets. * The Master Blender’s tasting notes : A cognac with most exceptional characters. Very rich and complex flavours of old sherry wine, cedar wood, leaf of Havana cigar, crème brulee, freshly roasted coffee, liquorice and hot honey. | Descrição do imóvel | Courvoisier ®’s history began in the early nineteenth with Emmanuel Courvoisier, who was a wine and spirits’ merchant. His son, Felix created, in 1843, the Courvoisier ®’s house. The Simons overtook the brand in 1909. The family decided to use the history of the brand and Napoleon, which have always been intimately linked. Indeed, Napoleon visited the warehouses of Emmanuel Courvoisier in 1811. It also appears that Napoleon would have taken on the St. Helena Island some cognac Courvoisier ®. Then the officers would have called this cognac "cognac of Napoleon". Napoleon III also appointed cognac Courvoisier ® as "official supplier of the Imperial Court". That’s why the family decided to use the shadow of Napoleon as a logo. They are also behind the creation of the famous bottle Josephine, wife of the emperor. Proud of its history and excellence, the house Courvoisier ® offers two cognacs of exception: the Spirit of Courvoisier ® (from very old cognacs, numbered and engraved) and Succession JS (limited edition proposed for the bicentenary of the Napoleon’s coronation, which is a miniature replica of the secrets’ box of the emperor). |
