| Descrição do imóvel | Château La Lagune : The history of this château dates back to the XVIth century, when the Dutch began to cultivate the vine in the area. In the eighteenth century, Baron Louis built the monastery and the castle started to be a real wine property. In 1855, it was ranked third cru in the appellation Haut-Medoc. The name of “Medoc” comes from the location of the appellation; it is located on a peninsula between the Atlantic and the Garonne. Indeed, Médoc in Latin means "country in the midst of waters", "in media aquae." In 1958, Georges Brunet bought the field and improved the level of the château, which had suffered from various crises and wars. However, he had to sell the castle, as the undertaken investments were too costly. The castle also produces a second wine, Le moulin de la Lagune. |
