| Descrição do imóvel | Located on the west of the village of Cantenac, this château was founded during the eighteenth century by the family Gorce. It was, then, bought by the Baron of Brane, who gave his name to the château, in 1838. The Baron of Brane was a well-known man in the wine’s world and was also the owner of the current château Mouton-Rothschild. The château Brane-Cantenac has been, since the twentieth century, the property of the family Lurton, well-known in Bordeaux’s winemakers. It is Henri Lurton, who is now at the head of the field. Located on the plateau of Brane, the 94 hectares of the area produce a wine, which is certainly, today, at the head of the second ‘crus classés’. The château Brane-Cantenac also produces a second wine, in the appellation of Margaux, called ‘le Baron de Brane’. |
